FULL TEXT: Child Stealing– It appears that the female convicted of the above crime at the late Old Bailey Sessions [the court in London], for a short period “strutted and fretted” her hour upon the stage, and performed several times at the Little Theatre in the Haymarket; since which she formed a connection with a gentleman in France, and left that place some time ago preparatory to her accouchement in this country – The child she was delivered of died; and upon the account of her receiving a large sum from the above Foreigner, she stole the child alluded to, in order to return with it to France, to impose it on the reputed father as his own offspring.
